THE STORY…
Biodegradable Packaging for Environment Public Company Limited (BPE) under the brand “Gracz” was invented by Dr. Weerachat Kittirattanapaiboon, Chief Executive Officer, who recognized the dangers of commonly used food packaging.
Consumers are unaware that food containers brought back from restaurants leach dangerous substances and chemicals that cause cancer into food.
In addition to health effects, those types of packaging also play a leading role in environmental problems. Packaging waste is difficult to biodegrade, and its management and disposal cost the nation billions annually.

Inspired by these health and environmental problems, Dr. Weerachat, came up with food packaging made from 100% natural plant fiber (bagasse, bamboo, wheat and other types of natural fibers), which has been developed to meet functional requirements and the needs of consumers; moreover, it is hygienic, safe and does not cause any environmental burdens.
Biodegradable Packaging for Environment Public Company Limited was established in January 2005, on an area of 19 acres on Asia Road, Chainat Province, which is Thailand’s first and only company to be granted the Investment Promotion Privilege for biodegradable packaging from Thailand Board of Investment (BOI).
It is the only company in AEC member countries that manufactures natural plant fiber food packaging products that are safe, free of substances causing cancer, and with superior quality including leak proof, oven-able, microwavable, freezable, and suitable for hot and cold food.

Knowledge Sharing under Panya Pa Rua Project: “One Life One Planet”. PIM invited Dr. Weerachat Kittirattanapaiboon to be the guest speaker for students at the faculty of Business Administration under the topic “Positive Thinking”.
CP ALL invited Dr. Weerachat Kittirattanapaiboon to speak at the Panya Pa Rua Project event about Gracz’s innovation on November 19, 2013.
Bai Po Business Award 2012: Sasin School of Management and Siam Commercial Bank organized “Bai Po Business Awards by SASIN” to grant awards to outstanding Thai SMEs entrepreneurs.
Design Excellence Award (DEmark) which came from Prime Minister’s Export Award: PM Award Thai-Owned Design that grants award based on quality, functions and product design concept.
Prime Minister’s Export Award 2009, Office of Product Development and Value Enhancement, Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce carried on the Design Excellence Award 2009 (Demark 2009).

Gracz tableware products we manufactures are biodegradable, compostable, therefore disposable. The products primarily are made from bagasse, a natural product made from the pulp of sugar cane after the sugar has been extracted.
GRACZ CLASSIC
Biodegradable Packaging made from 100% bagasse pulp that is white in color. It is the first product of the company. There are many designs to choose from. to suit various occasions.
Suitable for all types of food packaging. Both hot and cold food can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the microwave without changing containers, making it convenient for today’s fast-paced lifestyles.
GRACZ SIMPLE
Biodegradable Packaging from bagasse pulp mixed with bamboo pulp. There is a cream color derived from the natural color of bamboo pulp.
